Well, it's been a few months since my last scintillating post.
My daughter Arianna and I have been on a new protocol: LDA/LDI-Low Dose Immunotherapy and Low Dose Allergy. It's going. That's all I can say at this point.
Bats in the Belfry-Detail
When I first started looking for help, pre-internet, the allopathic medical community had absolutely no help for me. Hell, they're still basically useless. I tried just about everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. I wanted my health back.
Soooo....colonics? You betcha!
Energy work? Sure.
Shots of some substance I don't even remember (probably sugar water). I'll take it!
Massage? Hurt like the dickens-what's a dickens anyway? Do it.
NASTY Chinese herbs? Ugh, bring it on!
Acupuncture? I'm in line.
Supplements I've never heard of? Here's a check.
German remedies from a fascinating apothecary in Chicago? Take a number.
Past life trauma? Shhhh, don't tell anyone.
Food changes? You name it, I tried it.
Then, as I was lying on an old doctors bed in a very dingy office with some ancient white man holding magnets over me, I thought: He's crazy, I'm crazy, the whole world is crazy. Stop the madness!
I returned to westernized medicine; which had failed me in the first place. Drugs galore! Pain killers, Cortisone shots, nerve blockers, anti-depressants, anti-anxiety, muscle relaxants, sleep aids, arthritis creams, MRI's, Cat scans, (found no cats, but there was a schnauzer) X-rays, two new hips due to the bacteria feeding on the soft tissues-icky, I know. I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but I think the picture has been illustrated sufficiently.
Unpaid medical expenses up the wazoo. An insurance company that is silently praying that I drown.
Oh it's been quite a ride and the fun never stops, but I must: my meds are calling.
